Gardaí are investigating a burglary at the Lough Mourne Water Treatment Plant in Meencrumlin, Ballybofey, between 7 o’clock on Friday night and 10 o’clock on Saturday morning last.
Gardai say entry was gained to the site after the fence was damaged and two industrial generators were stolen from the site.
They are appealing to anyone who travelled on the Donegal Town to Ballybofey road between those times and who may have observed any suspicious activity in the area of the Water Treatment Plant to make contact with Gardaí. If anyone comes across similar items for sale on a second hand basis, they’re also being asked to contact gardai.
