Drivers warned as clocks go back collisions go up

Driver’s are being warned to be extra careful after this weekend.

It’s after new research found the number of road collisions rises once the clock’s go back for winter, which will happen in the early hours of this Sunday morning.

The AA study shows crashes increase by 23% in the autumn months when compared to summertime.

The combination of darker evenings, coupled with wet and sometimes icy conditions are to blame.
