Donegal County Council and Uisce Eireann have confirmed road closures in order to enable an upgrade and leakage reduction works programme.
They are set commence in November at Straid in Clonmany.
Originally works were to commence in Mid August and finish in mid September.
Cllr Martin McDermott says the wait has been disappointing:
