LUH rolls out termination services

Letterkenny University Hospital is one of five more hospitals to roll out termination services in Ireland this month.

The Irish Times reports that the service begins following the recruitment of staff, specifically to facilitate abortions.

It now leaves Cavan General Hospital and South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel the only two maternity units in the Republic to not carry out the service.

These are expected to come into effect next year.
