The Christmas tree in Buncrana has been re-lit following an incident of criminal damage yesterday.
The people who damaged the tree got in touch with Buncrana Christmas Lights community, owned up and sincerely apologised for their antics.
The bill for repairs to the damaged seasonal tree was paid in full by the persons guilty.
The local community would like to remind the public that there is CCTV footage of that area and damage to amenities will not go unnoticed.
They also ask for people not to touch the Christmas ornaments which have been nought and paid for by all the community over the years.
