British and Irish diplomats meet authorities in India to discuss Danielle McLaughlin case

Senior Irish and British diplomats have met with authorities in India to discuss an early conclusion to the trial into the murder of Buncrana woman, Danielle McLaughlin.

The 27 year old was killed in March 2017 in Goa.

Vikat Bhagat’s trial, the man charged with Ms McLaughlin’s murder has been ongoing now for almost seven years.

The Irish and British diplomats met on January 19th as part of continued engagement on the case.
