Blake Newland has been named as the 17 year old who was stabbed to death in Limavady on Friday night.
Six people have been arrested in relation to the investigation so far, detectives have been granted a further 36 hours to question four of them.
A man in his 50s was also injured in the Woodland Walk area incident, with reports coming in around 9:30pm that night.
Blake was found in a near by house, and later died in hospital from his injuries.
