Waiting lists in Irish hospitals have been described as “frighteningly long” by the new IMO president.
Donegal GP Denis McCauley addressed colleagues at the Irish Medical Organisation’s AGM this weekend.
He referenced the chronic shortage of beds, consultants and GPs which have left thousands of people without the care they need.
