Raphoe Councillor Frank McBrearty has confirmed that he is seeking re-election.
The Independent Councillor was first elected in 2009 and has served in the Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District.
He says his decision to run as a Councillor again was ‘one of the toughest’ of his life.
Cllr McBrearty has acknowledged the legal process he is engaged in and says his desire to fight for people’s rights has never diminished.
