Cllr Gerry Crawford rethinks retirement decision and will contest local elections

Councillor Gerry Crawford has reconsidered his decision to retire from politics and will now contest the upcoming local elections.

Councillor Crawford, an elected member of Donegal County Council since 1999 in the Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District, announced a number of weeks ago that he would not be seeking re-election.

He now says on reflection, he was not full fully happy with his decision to step back from politics at the end of this council term. He says he is keen to see the projects he has been working on over the last number of years be delivered.
