John Swinney sworn in as Scotland’s new First Minister


John Swinney has been sworn in as Scotland’s new First Minister.

After winning the vote in parliament yesterday, he was granted his official title today – First Minister and Keeper of the Scottish Seal.

He’s now expected to appoint his new cabinet.

The SNP leader appeared before Scotland’s most senior judge at the Court of Session in Edinburgh – pledging to devote himself to the job:
