Electric scooters will finally be legal from next Monday but under 16s will be banned from using them in a public place.
The regulations have been published that set out a speed limit of 20km an hour on all public roads.
Scooters can’t be fitted with a seat, they can only carry one person at a time and will have to be safe and roadworthy.
