Gardaí are appealing to the public to plan their journey in advance and leave plenty of time to travel this weekend as festival fever grips the country.

The annual Pride Festival and Parade takes place in Dublin on Saturday, concerts are taking place in the Aviva Stadium, Marlay Park, Fairview Park, and Trinity College, while the GAA quarter-finals are in Croke Park.
The road network will busier than usual as Gardaí remind motorists to slow down, stay safe and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
