A area North Atlantic Right Whale has been spotted off the coast of Donegal.
Footage emerged on Monday evening of the whale in the water in Donegal Bay.
The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group confirmed that the whale was a very very rare species which would have been more common in Irish waters in the 15th and 16th century.
