Rise in number of teen dogs surrendered to Irish shelters

There has been a rise in the number of teenage dogs being surrendered to shelters in Ireland.

The DSCPA has reported a 120 per cent increase in dogs aged between 6 and 24 months in their care since this time last year.

It’s also noted a rise in the number of cockapoos and golden retrievers being surrendered by owners.
