DCC again urged to implement safety measures at Kilmacrennan junction

Donegal County Council is again being urged to urgently review a junction in Kilmacrennan where there’s been several collisions in recent years.

Two roads come out on to the N56, one from Trentagh and the local church and school, the other from Milford.

Cllr Michael McBride told members that this junction has been discussed several times in recent years, and since the last discussion there’s been another incident involving a tourist.

He said it’s nothing short of a mirale that no-one’s been killed on the junction, where in many cases, people are coming out of the two smaller roads not knowing they’re coming on to the N56.

He says after several promises in the past for a review, the council must act………
