Around 400 community Day Centres and Meals on Wheels services around the country will be eligible to apply for increased funding of up to 25 thousand euro.
The Health Minister Stephen Donnelly announced the ten-million-euro upgrade programme for older persons community services, to enable people to age well in their own homes.
Funding will be administered through the HSE Regional health areas.
