NI ‘Dog-nappers’ could be jailed for up to five years

Dog-nappers in Northern Ireland could soon be jailed for up to five years.

It follows the introduction of a new criminal offence in the UK – which acknowledges pet owner’s distress.

The theft of a family pet HERE in the Republic, is still being treated like having private property taken.
