Demand of Electric Vehicles down on last year

A lack of charging stations is the main reason people are hesitant to buy an EV.

The EY Global Mobility Consumer Index shows demand for electric vehicles is slowing, with concerns over battery replacement costs and ‘range anxiety’ also playing a role.

Global demand for EVs rose from 30 per cent to 55 per cent between 2020 and 2023, but increased by just 3 per cent last year.
