Belfast Court of Appeal to make judgement regarding Troubles Legacy Act

Belfast’s Court of Appeal’s expected to make a judgement later surrounding a challenge to the Troubles Legacy Act; brought in under the last UK government.

A previous High Court ruling found parts of the controversial act were incompatible with human rights law.

Today the court will make decisions around the “truth recovery body” and the Windsor Framework.

The Labour government has said it’ll ‘repeal and replace’ the Legacy Act – though its keeping the truth recovery body.
