Fine Gael has rowed back on extending the number of sick leave days.
Former leader Leo Varadkar told the Dail in 2022 that the number of sick leave days would extend from five to ten days in 2026.
However at the launch of its general election manifesto this morning, the party says it will remain at five days.
Current leader and Taoiseach Simon Harris admits it’s a change in approach.
