Donegal doctor calls for long-term plan to help health service cope with flu surge

It’s expected the flu season will peak in around two weeks’ time.

The number of people in hospital with the virus has nearly doubled in the last week.

There’s been a rise of almost 500 cases, with over 1 thousand in hospital yesterday.

President of the Irish Medical Organisation, Donegal Dr. Denis McCauley wants the new government to make a long-term plan to help the health service cope with a surge like this:
