Tidy Town groups can now obtain insurance through their local authority at no cost.
The announcement was made this morning by the Minister of State for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance, Neale Richmond.
The launch of the community insurance initiative will enable local authorites to get the insurance through a partnership with Irish Public Bodies Insurance, allowing the vital work to be carried out by the community groups.
