A ban on advertising alcohol on television and radio at certain times comes into force today.
Drink adverts are now banned on TV from 3am to 9pm, and on radio on a weekday from 3pm to 10am the following morning.
CEO of Alcohol Action Ireland Dr Sheila Gilheany is welcoming it, but says other promised measures also need to be delivered:
