Pope says he is facing a ‘period of trial’ as he spends fifth week in hospital

The Pope has warned he’s facing a ‘period of trial’ as he continues to be treated for double pneumonia.

Doctors say the 88-year-old pontiff is no longer critically ill, but his condition remains complex.

Dozens of children have gathered outside the hospital in Rome – hoping to catch a glimpse of him from a window.

Reporter Lisa Holland says they’re aged between 6 and 11 years old and have come from around the world.
