There must be action and not more talk when it comes to imposing tighter regulations on Airbnb’s.
Cllr Jimmy Brogan says people are getting locked out of the rental market, and that issue is being compounded by the ease of utilising properties for short-term letting.
Cllr Brogan believes that the owners of Airbnb’s should be subject to the same rules as hotels.
He think that if this were the case, it would be a deterrent and make more houses available for families to rent:
