Nearly a third of women in 40s and 50s provide unpaid family care

29% of women in their 40s and 50s are providing unpaid care for family members.

That’s according to data from Healthy Ireland, which shows 14% of adults are caring for someone with a disability, health problem, or long-term illness.

Just over 60% are women, while the average age is 46.
