Unlicensed rally events that were due to take place at Downings Beach over the weekend will not be going ahead.
A blockage has been placed at the entrance to prohibit vehicles from entering.
Gardaí say that access will be obstructed for the remainder of the weekend.
Meanwhile, a car was also seized in the area on account of having no tax or NCT.
