Fine Gael will kick off a search for a presidential candidate tomorrow.
Nominations will close at 4pm on Tuesday July 15th.
Hopefuls will need the backing of 20 TDs or senators, 25 councillors and five executive members.
A series of hustings will take place later this month, with members voting in August.
The final vote, including the parliamentary party, will happen in September.
