Glenties had the highest number of vacant properties in the country in the last quarter of 2023.
Based on low levels of metered electricity consumption, the CSO says 1636 units were vacant in the Local Electoral Area.
A total of 5,357 properties were lying empty in Donegal in 2023. 1,064 of them in the Donegal LEA, 616 in Milford, 634 in Carndonagh, 499 in Buncrana, 384 in Letterkenny and 524 in Lifford-Stranorlar.
