“It’s a historic moment for Finn Harps” – Paddy McDaid on what it means to field Senior Women’s Team for the first time in 2026

Finn Harps have confirmed that the club will field a senior team in the 2026 Women’s Development League.

This new league will feature an even mix of senior club, like Harps, entering for the first time, and the under-23 squads from existing Women’s National League clubs like Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne and Sligo Rovers.

This is a major development for women’s soccer in Donegal.
