An animal charity in Donegal have expressed their shock and anger after the remains of a kitten were found in a plastic bag that had been dumped on the side of the road.
A member of the public made the discovery on the Convent Road in Falcarragh.
In a social media post, Animals in Need Donegal say they believe the kitten was suffocated before being thrown away.
Gitte McMullin from the charity, says there is a current crisis of unwanted kittens and is urging people to neuter their pets:
