11 Gardaí have been assigned to the North Western Region as part of a wider intake of 167. Of those, one is coming to Donegal, and will be stationed in Letterkenny.
This morning, these Gardaí were attested, which brings the total number of sworn Gardaí to over 14,500.
These newly-attested members of An Garda Síochána were recruited as part of the 2024/25 recruitment campaign.
This brings the number of Probationer Gardaí attested since recruitment recommenced in 2022 to nearly 1,800.
