Nearly 10,000 people were employed in Gaeltacht enterprises in 2025.
That’s according to the annual report from Údarás na Gaeltachta, the regional development agency for the Gaeltacht.
Last year 681 new jobs were created, 218 of which were in Donegal, bringing total employment to 9,716 across seven counties.
The total number of people employed in Údarás na Gaeltachta client companies in the Donegal Gaeltacht to 2,690.
On 31 October 2025, there were 77 vacancies available with client companies, offering opportunities for Donegal jobseekers.
Chief Executive of Údarás na Gaeltachta, Tomás Ó Síocháin, said despite international uncertainty, businesses are growing in the Gaeltacht.
