Donegal students warned of rising rents under new legislation

Sinn Féin has warned that student rents could surge if the government’s proposed rental legislation proceeds.

The bill would allow rent to reset to market value when a tenancy ends.

Opposition data suggests this could push rents in Donegal up by an average of 19%.
