Housing Minister signs off on retrospective DCB payments

The Housing Minister has signed off on legislation allowing for retrospective payments to be made to defective block homeowners, and also facilitating the reimbursement up to the new maximum cap, following the passing of recent legislation.

In a Dáil response to Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn, Minister James Brown confirmed the bill was passed and signed by the president in December, and he signed the commencement order last evening.

Qualifying homeowners will now be able to apply to their designated local authority to have a new remediation option grant amount determined.
