Justice Minister warns no easy solutions for cross border illegal migration

The only way to stop migrants coming to Ireland through the UK would be to erect a hard border with Northern Ireland, which nobody would want to see, according to the Justice Minister.

Jim O’Callaghan told the Dáil he can’t export people from Ireland to countries which aren’t willing to accept them back.

Minister O’Callaghan addressed Sinn Féin’s criticism by saying there aren’t easy solutions to illegal migration:
