Gardaí in Donegal have issued safety advice as people plan outings this weekend.
They say many people will be heading to beaches or going on hikes due to the improving weather.
Gardaí are asking car owners to park in a safe location, if possible, and to always insure the vehicle is locked.
They added that people should not leave anything worth stealing within sight and do not make the mistake of trying to hide belongings within the car once parked up.
