With the recent improvement in weather, the risk of gorse fires has increased, with emergency services called to the scene of a blaze in the Clonmany area at 8pm last night.
A number of fire engines attended the scene.
Multiple homes were at risk of damage but are now safe.
Director of Human Resources, Economic Development and Emergency Services at Donegal County Council Garry Martin explained that the fire was brought under control overnight:
