Concerns over NI wildfires

Firefighters, police and politicians are condemning a series of wildfires in Northern Ireland, including a major fire in the Mourne Mountains, as well as blazes in counties Derry and Fermanagh.

In a joint statement, First Minister Michelle O’Neill and Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly say the flames have left a trail of devastating damage.

They’re urging people to stop and consider the consequences of their actions.
