Audio Update – R267 closed in Donegal Town following major fire at kitchen premises

The fire service has spent the night battling a blaze at the Cherrymore Kitchens premises on the Ballyshannon Road in Donegal Town.

Six units and almost 60 fire service personnel fought the blaze overnight, three units remain at the scene this morning.

The building has been badly damaged, no injuries have been reported.

In a statement, gardai say due to a large industrial fire on the Ballyshannon Road, no access is permitted to Donegal town via the R267 from Tullyearl roundabout.

Diversions are in place and people are asked to avoid the area.
