Council publishes Options Reports for four greenways in Donegal

Donegal County Council has published options reports for four greenway routes in the county, with people being invited to view the detailed documents and put any questions they may have to the authority.

The council says the Phase 2 Options Selection process for four greenway projects has now been completed, with documentation now on display until Friday June 12th.

The four projects are Carrigans to Lifford, Three Trees to Carndonagh, Buncrana to Carndonagh and Burtonport to Letterkenny.

Options Reports are available for each project, and can be viewed at the relevant Public Services Centres. A summary of each project’s Preferred Route Corridor is provided in a summary document which can be accessed below.

Donegal County Council says at this early stage in project development, the Preferred Route Corridor for each project indicates a wide corridor in which a narrow greenway route is proposed to be developed. Most of the land included within the Preferred Route Corridor will not be affected by the greenway’s final path, and every effort will be made by the council to minimise impacts to landowners.
