Ireland is on course to break its longest heatwave record.

The 14-day record was set in August 50 years ago.

Yesterday, marked the 13th day of the current hot weather spell, with highs of 26 degrees forecast for this weekend.

A weather advisory is currently in place for the entire country and will continue until midnight on Monday.
