A new twinning project is getting under way in west Donegal today.
A delegation from Ardara in Sardinia will make a visit to Ardara in Donegal as part of an initiative funded by the European Union.
It brings together two rural communities which share the same name with the hope of building lasting cultural and economic links.
The visit coincides with the Ardara Agricultural Show over this weekend.
