Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in connection with an incident of criminal damage that occurred at Banba’s Crown, Malin Head on Saturday between 1.30pm and 2pm.
Gardaí say a man set off for a climb, and he passed the memorial cross at Banba’s Crown, but upon his return a short time later, he discovered that the memorial cross had been removed and thrown over the cliff onto the rocks.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have been at Banba’s Crown on Saturday between those times and who may have witnessed the incident to make contact with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.
They believe several people were in the area around the time of the incident.
