Donegal Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has called for Traveller ethnicity and says it would be an important first step to promote a positive relationship between the settled and travelling communities.
Concerns have been raised by the Donegal Deputy, following the response from some people to the Carrickmines tragedy – posting on social media they welcomed it.
Deputy Mac Lochlainn says granting ethnicity won’t solve all issues overnight but it would pave the way for a more permanent realignment between both communities:
