Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has revealed his huge frustration after today’s 3-0 loss against Belgium.
It was the second match at Euro 2016 for The Boys In Green, following their opening draw with Sweden.
O’Neill, from Derry, said Ireland are still in the competition and have one game left to play – against Italy – to keep alive their dream of the Euros.
He said on RTE: “The goals we conceded were poor and one of them was from our free-kick.
“They got the break on us and that was disappointing, but we are still in the competition and we have a game to win.
“In the first half, we were unable to keep the ball. That was disappointing, but they are a fine side.
“We didn’t play well enough.”
He added: “It’s very important for us now to rest and get ready for the next game.”
