The Taoiseach says he’s developing the concept of an all-island forum following the decision by the UK to leave the European Union.
Enda Kenny will discuss the idea with the North’s First Minister, Arlene Foster and Deputy First Minister Martin Mc Guinness at the North South Ministerial Council in Dublin castle today – it’s the first time the two will talk face-to-face in the wake of the BREXIT result.
British Chancellor George Osborne meanwhile says he plans to cut corporation tax to less than 15 per-cent to show the world the UK is “still open for business”.
The move would slice more than 5 per-cent off the current rate and would see Britain close in on Ireland’s 12 and a half per-cent business tax.
