The Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce CEO is reassuring people in the North West that the majority of businesses in the south are continuing to accept sterling notes.
It emerged earlier this week that Tesco Ireland decided to no longer accept sterling notes from customers, prompting concern that other businesses may follow suit.
However, Chamber CEO Toni Forrester believes this move is only confined to Tesco:
