Derry City’s players did their best to erase the pain from the recent 5-0 defeat by Dundalk as they swept Longford Town aside.
They beat Longford Town 4-0 with goals from Aaron McEneff, Lukas Schubert, Barry McNamee, and Rory Patterson.
Barry (pictured) said Longford’s red card was talked about in the Derry dressing room at half-time, when the score was 1-0, and they were warned to keep their concentration.
Lukas, from Austria, said that Derry manager Kenny Shiels had warned them to be professional.
